Installation Instructions
Replacing the Whirlpool WP8577274 THERMISTOR
Tools Needed: Phillips head screwdriver, new thermostat
Instructions:
1. Unplug your dryer from the wall before you begin to replace the thermostat.
2. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws on the back of the dryer panel and then remove the panel.
3. Locate the thermostat on the side of the dryer where all of the wires are connected.
4. Disconnect the wires from the thermostat and then unscrew the screws that attach it to the dryer.
5. Take the new thermostat and attach it to the same spot on the side of the dryer.
6. Connect the wires to the new thermostat as they were on the old one and then screw it in securely.
7. Put the dryer panel back on and screw it in place with the Phillips head screwdriver.
8. Plug the dryer back in to the wall and turn it on to test the replacement thermostat.
By following these steps, you should have successfully replaced the Whirlpool WP8577274 THERMISTOR in your dryer.
