Installation Instructions
1. Begin by unplugging your Whirlpool washing machine from the power source.
2. Tip your washer onto its left side and remove the five Phillips head screws located on the back of the washer at the bottom. When you remove the back panel, the roller shaft should be visible.
3. You will need to remove the two Phillips head screws securing the roller shaft in place. The roller shaft has three grooves along the length of it. The flat part of the shaft will go into the center groove.
4. After the roller shaft has been removed, take a damp cloth and wipe the area to remove any dirt or debris. This is to ensure a secure fit for the new roller shaft.
5. Take the new WP6-3129480 Whirlpool Roller Shaft and insert it into the center groove of the washer, ensuring that the flat part of the shaft is in the center of the groove. Secure the roller shaft in place using the two Phillips head screws.
6. Replace the back panel of the washer and secure the five Phillips head screws.
7. Plug the washer back into the power source and test the washer to ensure proper operation.
