DIY Instructions for Replacing a WP3406107 Whirlpool Dryer Door Switch
1. Unplug the dryer from the wall socket before you begin any work.
2. Open the dryer door and locate the two screws at the top of the switch that holds it in place.
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws and set them aside.
4. Gently pull the switch away from the door and locate the two wires connected to it.
5. Disconnect the wires by gently pulling them off the terminals on the old switch.
6. Put the wires onto the same terminals on the new switch.
7. Secure the new switch in place by replacing the two screws.
8. Tuck the wires into the dryer cabinet and replace the dryer door.
9. Plug the dryer back into the wall socket and test the switch.
