Installation Instructions

Step 1: Unplug or disconnect the power source for your Whirlpool appliance before beginning any repair work.

Step 2: Open the door of the appliance and locate the W10542314 Whirlpool Door Gasket Seal With Latch Strike.

Step 3: Remove the old gasket seal by gently pulling it away from the door frame.

Step 4: Clean the area around the frame with a cloth to remove any leftover bits of the old seal.

Step 5: Before replacing the new gasket seal, inspect the latch strike. Make sure that it is in good working order and that there is no visible damage.

Step 6: Place the new seal around the door frame and press it firmly into place.

Step 7: Insert the latch strike into the new seal and secure it with the screws.

Step 8: Test the seal and latch strike by closing the door to make sure they are firmly in place.

Step 9: Reconnect the power source and test the appliance again to make sure everything is working correctly.
