Installation Instructions
1. Start by gathering the tools you need to complete the project, including a flathead screwdriver, metric socket wrench set, and the W10435302 Whirlpool Seal and Bearing Kit.
2. Disconnect the power to the washing machine by unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet.
3. Open the door of the washer by turning the latch counterclockwise with the flathead screwdriver.
4. Remove the top panel of the washer by unscrewing the screws from the back of the appliance. You may need to lift the panel slightly to locate them.
5. Unscrew the agitator from the center of the washer by using the metric socket wrench set.
6. Place your hands on either side of the gasket and gently pull it away from the sides of the washer.
7. Take out the old seal and bearing and install the new ones by pushing them into place on the sides of the washer.
8. Carefully place the gasket back onto the sides of the washer. Make sure that it is secure in place.
9. Re-attach the agitator to the washer by using the metric socket wrench set.
10. Replace the top panel of the washer and re-secure the screws.
11. Turn the latch clockwise to close the door of the washer.
12. Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet and plug it in.
13. Test the washer to ensure the W10435302 Whirlpool Seal and Bearing Kit has been properly installed.
