Replacing Your 279640 Whirlpool Dryer Idler Pulley Wheel
1. Start by unplugging your dryer from the wall to prevent any electric shocks.
2. Next, you will want to locate the idler pulley. This is typically located at the bottom of the dryer behind the drum.
3. Once you have located the idler pulley, you will need to remove the two screws on either side of it.
4. After the screws are removed, you can now slide out the old idler pulley.
5. Now it’s time to insert the new 279640 idler pulley into place.
6. Make sure to line up the holes on the new pulley with the holes on the dryer base.
7. Insert the two screws back into place and tighten them down.
