Installation Instructions
Step 1: Unplug the dryer’s power cord from the wall outlet. Use a screwdriver to remove the back panel of the dryer and locate the existing thermal cut-off fuse kit.
Step 2: Using needle nose pliers, carefully pull out the two wires from the terminal block of the thermal cut-off fuse kit.
Step 3: Insert the new 279816 Whirlpool Dryer Thermal Cut-Off Fuse Kit into the terminal block. Secure the wires by twisting them around the screws and push the screws into their holes.
Step 4: Place the original faceplate onto the new 279816 Whirlpool Dryer Thermal Cut-Off Fuse Kit.
Step 5: Secure the back panel to the dryer and plug in the power cord.
Step 6: Test the dryer to make sure it is running properly.
